Plumber Notes: Arrived to replace 2 bathroom sinks and faucets, shower valve and trim. We removed old bathroom faucets. Then we removed old bathroom sinks. Removed old shower trim. Cut a hole in the wall in the garage behind the shower valve to remove old shower valve that had a leak. We replaced shower valve with a delta and piped in the shower valve. We put up the drywall after we completed installing the shower valve. We installed new customer provided sinks and caulked them in. We installed new customer provided shower trim. We installed new customer provided faucets. We tested the water lines for leaks. No leaks…. read more

Sewer and Drain Plumbing Service on February 22, 2024 in Callahan, (32011)

Plumber Notes: On my arrival, I met with the homeowner who informed me she was having issues draining off water. After inspecting the flow from the bathroom, I determined she had a soft blockage somewhere after the toilet. However, I could not pull the toilet due to water being in the line and would cause a small flood in her bathroom. After inspecting the house, I found that it is on a septic tank and the septic tank is not overflowing. Therefore, the blockage is somewhere after the toilet in the line. The only way to attempt to clear the blockage is from the roof down the vent. Unfortunately the roof is pitched and wet from the rain therefore it is a safety hazard to attempt to clear. This evening, I spoke with the homeowner and explained the safety issue. She fully understands and would like us to return during the daylight hours when the roof is dry and no longer a safety hazard. Job completed for now. Allen s. Plumber Notes: Shorten the ice maker line so the refrigerator wouldn’t get snagged on it. Ice maker box is good. Also replaced hose bib on the side of the house with new hose bib and vacuum breaker and put a shut off valve in the garage on loop line that is for a water softener turned water back on. Plumber Notes: When arrived, the shower head was moving around. The cause of that was from handy man cut hole too big for shower arm to come through. I let the customer know we would have to cut the wall out where shower arm was to be able to fix it. Customer requested we just fill hole with foam and silicone to stabilize the arm. I did as requested. I did let the customer know that it was a 50/50 shot this would hold and that if this did not work, we could not warranty the job due to completing the job how they requested it be done. Plumber Notes: Inspected underneath home to search for possible sewer or incoming water leak. Could not find a leak on sewer pipe or incoming water pipe. Cast iron appears to be in good condition, and there is a partial repipe done for the existing copper. Would recommend full repipe/ re drain due to the age and materials used, but other than that, sewer and water piping in crawl space is in good condition…. read more

Re-Piping Services Plumbing Service on December 16, 2022 in Callahan, (32011)

Plumber Notes: We will be doing a full repipe of this two bathroom home through the Attic. We will be doing the repipe in CPVC pipe and fittings. This will in detail require New Angle stops at each fixture that requires angle stops meaning toilet, bathroom sinks, kitchen sink and supply lines if needed. We will be in attic drilling down the wall to access the fixtures. We will need to cut the drywall at the fixture to install new angle stops. The showers are back to back one is a stand-up shower other one is a tub shower valve both of them will require a Smitty plate (Cover Plate) to hook up the new piping too. we are not able to do it from the back on them due to they are back to back shower valve one is a thick plastic in the master other one is tile in the hall bathroom. The hose bib on the back of the house will be surface mounted on the surface of the house The hose bib on the front of the house will be eliminated and moved down to the wall by the well off the garage with a new hose bib and piping. For the kitchen sink and ice maker we will be drilling down the pantry wall going through the inside of the cabinets behind the stove around to kitchen sink where at that point we will transition over to a quarter inch line and run to ice maker. Repipe is complete waited 30 mins tested everything cleaned aerators and got everything working properly no leaks and job is complete…. read more
