Plumber Notes: Upon arrival, we were shown the kitchen sink in unit number two and were told about the kitchen sink in unit number one as they are back to back and both are stopped up. The maintenance man told me that he already snaked 14 foot through the P-trap of the kitchen sink and felt a stoppage, but his cable broke when it hit the stoppage. Since both sinks are back to back and the vent is shared, I went on the roof and dropped my 5/8 cable hitting the stoppage about 20 feet in and was able to clear the stoppage. I then ran an extra 30 feet of cable to ensure that the stop it was cleared and to break up anything in the old cast-iron pipe. STOPPAGE CLEARED the stoppage was a giant hair ball maintenance has told tenants to not wash hair in the sink any more.
