Plumber Notes: Emergency Call Unit 408. Upon arrival proposed slab leak repair on the Main 2 inch line under the building for $3,500 approved by Lindsey “Property Manager”. Attempted to reroute the Main water line and needed to remove some drywall to find the main water line going up the walls. Unable to locate the Main 2 inch water line going up the wall. We used the Jackhammer and broke up the floor in the storage behind the unit. Broke up approximately 1 foot wide by 2 foot long and found a dime size hole that had made a sizeable hallow section under the slab. Repaired the section of 2 inch copper with CPVC and Shark Bite fittings. Needed to purchase dirt to fill in the hole that was made under the slab to prevent any further damage to the structure. Once the hole was filled in we attempted to turn on the water and the existing ball valve was not opening. After trying everything possible to open this ball valve it was apparent that we needed to replace the main building shut off. Needed to shut down the entire complex and drain down the water just to replace this ball valve. Cut out a 2 inch brass ball valve and installed a new 2 inch brass ball valve that was functional. Replacement of the ball valve was additional to the price of the emergency
