Plumber Notes: Customer wasn’t having hot water after about 5 minutes on a 50 gal water heater. Top thermostat was set to 1100 while bottom was set to 1250….changed top thermostat to match bottom. Waited until it was done heating up and tried a second time….water was still luke warm after about 5 minutes. Changed both elements and thermostats (top and bottom). While changing top element there was scale and sediment that came out. If the problem persists, I highly recommend coming back to flush water heater of sediment and repeating every 6 months.
