Plumber Notes: Came out to give estimates on several projects. One of the estimates turned into an emergency and manager on site gave approval to remove and replace a 3 handle Gerber shower valve. Left to get supplies and the valve. When we returned to turn water off and swap valve, found that the buildings main water valve had a broken/warped handle and wouldn’t budge the actual valve. Was given approval per Holly right on site to turn entire complex down to swap out this valve as quick as possible, so we could continue our original job. Turned water off at main water hydrant at street and began cutting old valve out to bleed down system. Took a little over an hour to bleed out entire system before we could successfully start making glue joints. Once water stopped, was able to install valve and glue to it. Once we gave glue enough time to dry, we tested valve and turned water back on to entire complex but not building. Removed and replaced valve. Had to open wall up behind valve in tenants closet. Tested whole system. Everything went great and no issues. Sam did great installing the Gerber valve.
