Plumber Notes: Customer had shower valve that wouldn’t stop running even in the off position. Attempted to replace shower cartridge, but brass housing was too damaged to get compression ring around delta cartridge to replace it. Advised customer needed to cut wall behind valve and replace with new valve. Customer agreed and was advised Betros does not repair drywall. Cut open drywall to reveal plumbing for shower valve. Cut out old shower valve to install new moen valve. Hot water line is against stud attempted to notch out stud but valve was still too close. Drilled hole through stud to get to be able to run water line to new valve. Connected remaining water line and shower riser. Waited for glue time to test water for leaks. After 20 minutes turned water back on and tested for leaks no leaks found tested shower and it is working properly at this time installed new trim.
