Plumber Notes: Upon arrival, I met with the homeowner who informed me that their steam shower was not functioning correctly. After investigating the unit itself for any plumbing issues, none were found. I then checked the error code that the control panel inside of the shower was emulating. After speaking with thermasol support, I discovered that the issue is electrical in nature. I diagnosed on the system which cable was working incorrectly and unfortunately upon touching the cable was hit with 110 volts into my left hand. Although no harm came to me, I can confirm that the data cable on the system is likely short-circuiting or having other issues that will need to be diagnosed by an electrician. Plumber Notes: Customer stated that the kitchen sink would not drain and was clogged. Upon further investigation, I removed the p-trap from the sink and found a large amount of spiral noodles in the p-trap. I remove the noodles from the p-trap, reconnected the sink drain and filled up both sides of the sinks halfway. I then remove the plugs and drain both sides to the sink three times. Slab Leak Repair Plumbing Service on February 2, 2024 in Jacksonville, (32224)

Plumber Notes: On arrival, spoke with the homeowner via the telephone, informed me that he was not home at his residence and would not be for some time. And then inspected the area where water was leaking up out of the ground and determined that the water main was compromised. Shut off the water at the main and proceeded to sod and dig up the area around the pipe. After inspecting the pipe, I found that the pipe had been pulled out over time from the three quarter inch PVC coupling from old tree roots around the pipe. There was also a minor crack on the pipe going into the second three quarter inch PVC coupling. I removed a roughly 3 ft section of the PVC pipe and converted the pipe over to CPVC. I installed a new section of 3/4-in CPVC. After allowing time for the sealant to adhere, then pressure tested the line for more than a half hour to ensure that the pipe would hold. No leaks were found and the pipe is now holding pressure. Per my conversation with the homeowner to protect the pipe from any further roots that may be in the ground, I wrapped the section that I repaired and insulation. I then recovered the pipe in dirt and place the sod back in its original positions. Job completed. … read more

Plumber Notes: Came out for a leak in kitchen. Upon arrival, began running water everywhere and asking questions. Tenant was sure it wasn’t caused from a backed up drain or leak. The flood began in front/under AC unit. I ran a whole load in washer and drained it while running kitchen sink. No leak ever appeared or stoppage. Also upon inspection around and behind wash machine, nothing seemed wet or appeared to ever get water damage. Only water found was on kitchen floor, in front of AC. Tenant opened AC door and I found water damage to filter and bottom of pan. Currently wet. Recommend HVAC company. Called both numbers on ticket to collect, both numbers lead me to two different guys who use to work for the the apartment complex but no longer do. … read more

Plumber Notes: Water was hot through cold lines and hotter through hot lines. Checked thermostats on 3 water heaters. Lowered the ones that were set higher than others to approximately 135′ from 150′. Checked mop sinks(all 3 faucets were shut off.) Adjusted mixing valve on 2 sinks. They still heated up off and on. The Secretary advised that it had been a while since another plumbing company came and did work upstairs. Removed cold water line and piping hot water came out for about 40 seconds. I reconnected the lines to new mixing valve. Repeated process on 2nd sink from the door. Maintenance man and I then proceeded to the clinic restroom as well as all the restrooms upstairs and downstairs. I adjusted them all to satisfactory warmth.
