Water Heater Plumbing Service on November 27, 2024 in Jacksonville, (32257)

Plumber Notes: On arrival I installed the conversion kit on a tankless hot water heater that I installed once the conversion kit was installed. I tried to fire up the water heater and it still did not light. It was giving me a code. 11. Telling me that there was no gas getting to the water heater. I tried to light his other water heater on other side of the house and that water heater was also giving me a code 11. The customer did let me know that when she tried to shower last night that the water was cold and earlier today when she tried to shower. The water was lukewarm. I informed the customer that he should have his propane tank checked to make sure that it’s full and if not to get it filled and once he has had his propane tank checked I will come back out to try to relight the water heater 11/12 on arrival I checked both tankless water heaters to make sure both tank liters was working properly after the customer had got a new refill of their propane gas. After testing both water heaters both are giving hot water. None of them are throwing any codes. Everything is working fine and job is complete. The customer advised me to leave the assault for the softener on the couch in their courtyard and that he will add salt once he returns back home because the customer was not home at the time… read more

Re-Piping Services Plumbing Service on September 23, 2024 in Jacksonville, (32257)

Plumber Notes: After arriving I contacted Mr. Frank and he told me where the pump station was in the backyard. We went through the privacy gate and into the backyard to the gate where the pump station is we found the 1” sch 40 MIP blew out of the 1” galvanized cross on top of the well pump. We started by cutting the existing 2- 1” 90’s and couplings out getting rid of a few old repairs. I then glued a coupling to the 1” sch 40 pvc coming from aerator tank. I then teflon taped and doped a new 1” sch 40 MIP and screwed it into the 1” galvanized cross. I glued a small piece of 1”sch 40 into the new 1” MIP and glued a new 90* onto that piece of 1” sch 40. I glued in a 16” piece of pipe with another 90* to run back towards the wall from the 1”cross to the 1” sch 40 pvc line. My last glue joint was made at 12:20pm I will turn water/pressure on after 1:20pm allowing for glue to cure. When turning on the water/pressure I noticed that the 1” MIP coming out of the left side of the cross is leaking. I will now be cutting and repairing the left side of the cross. I had to cut the 1” sch 40 pvc riser and the 3/4” sch 40 pvc riser on the left hand side of the 1” galvanized cross to be able to unscrew the existing 1” school 40 pvc MIP. After removing existing pvc from the left side of the 1” cross I taped & doped a new 1” sch 40 pvc MIP into the left side of the 1” cross. From the new MIP I glued in a 1”x3/4” sch 40 Tee to connect to the 3/4 riser pipe. Out of the 3/4” branch of the tee I glued a new 3/4” ball valve with a red handle and I glued a 3/4” 90* out of the new valve to the existing 3/4” sch 40 pvc riser. Now to out of the branch of the 1” tee I glued a short piece with a 90* on it to turn towards brick wall. I then glued another short piece with a 90* on it to point back towards the 1” riser pipe. My last glue joint for the left side of the 1” cross was at 2:15pm I will be waiting till 3:15pm to turn on the water/pressure. I am letting glue dry a bit longer than 1 hour because it was raining while we were making glue joints (while covered under a tarp) but I want to be sure the glue is cured before turning water on. I noticed when I first tested pump it shot over 40 psi. The well pump hold at 55 psi. I am filling aerator tank now waiting for it to fill up before turning water pump on to house. We bled the air from the hose bib in front of the house. I let Me.Frank know that there might be some air trapped in when he opens faucets but that won’t hurt anything. Customer is not home cannot do checklist…. read more

Plumber Notes: Arrived at customers and shown the sanitary leak on the left hand side of the 2 compartment sink in kitchen. Found leak on the 1 1/2” drop piece connecting to left hand basket strainer. The gasket between the basket strainer and 1 1/2” drop piece to be slightly warped and the locking nut loose. I installed a new gasket and tightened all of the lock nuts for the sanitary to ensure there are no other leaks. I filled both sinks to flood level and let the water drain.
