Plumber Notes: Arrive to the customer’s house and opened up access in the hall closet for the lavatory waste arm and found that there was an old let waste arm that was not attached to anything. Once the line began to back up, it would start to pour in the wall. Inform the customer of the situation, installed a cap on the line and ran the 1/2-in cable from the roof about 50 to 55 ft. Ran water the entire time. All is clear and draining with no leaks at this time. Wall testing found that the cast iron was in bad condition and recommend that the customer get it replaced at some point in time. It does not seem to be necessary at the moment due to no water leaking seeing as how the stoppage is gone
