Plumber Notes: Cut the main underneath the house and redirected the main line away from under the A/C units. Route the wire connecting to the cast iron under the crawl space. Replacing approximately 25 to 30 ft. of main line, also rerouting the kitchen line and tying it into the new PVC line that will be installed. Approximately 15 to 20 ft. of pipe for the kitchen line. Will also put a cleanup outside the home for future access. Once the line is diverted, will stuff the orange burg pipe under the A/C units with concrete to prevent any further cave-in and issues.... read more

Water Heater Repair and Installation Plumbing Service on February 22, 2024 in Atlantic Beach, FL (32233)

Plumber Notes: Upon our arrival we turned water off to the old water heater. We then removed the old water heater and cut back both the hot and cold water line. After removing the old water heater from the stand, we then installed a brand new 80 gallon LPG water heater. We then reinstalled the cold water line with a new 3/4 in check valve and ball valve. We also installed a new expansion tank ran with 3/4 galvanized piping. We then reinstalled the hot water line with a new 3/4 inch ball valve. We also installed a new 30-in aluminum pan. We then ran new 3/4 inch galvanized pipe with a drip leg for the gas line. We then reattach the gas line. We then turned water back on to the new water heater and checked for leaks. No leaks were found. We then reinstalled the top cover and attached the flu. After filling up the new 80 gallon tank. We then re-engage gas and lit the pilot light. We then checked the temperature of the water inside of the house and found it to be lukewarm. The water heater will take two to three hours to get back to proper temperature. Plumber Notes: Flush the toilet five times each with and without toilet paper and it flushed like it should. Ran a 6ft closet auger down the toilet and didn't pull anything back, flushed again 5 times each with and without toilet paper and it is working as intended.... read more

Plumber Notes: Crush and fill septic tank and install a 1 hp sewage grinding pump with basin. Dig down to existing septic tank approximately 2 feet deep and uncover the lids for the septic. Remove them to get an extension ladder and go inside septic tank after getting it pumped out. Use the jackhammer to break up the bottom of the septic tank so no water will hold inside the tank. Once the tank is broken, will have to fill the tank with a dump truck full of clean sand. Permit required for the abandonment of the septic system and will need an inspector to verify job is within compliance. Once the tank is abandoned, will install a 1 horse power sewage ejection pump to tie into the existing city tap. Not responsible for any tap connection fees or extra expenses not related to the work above. Will not be responsible for any landscape or fences. Will provide all pipe, materials, abandonment permit, pump out, clean dirt, equipment, jackhammer and labor for the job listed above. Any additional out of scope unforeseen expenses will be discussed with owner before proceeding. Will also be connecting the pump to an electrical outlet, this might require an extension or an electrician to assist in process of connecting the pump.... read more

Plumber Notes: New heater was taller than old one. Had to get the Smith bros workers to lean the shelf off and pull the shelf down to cut it and then reinstall the shelf. Had to pull washer to pull old heater. Old unit wasn't draining, so we had to get it over to the balcony and let it drain over the edge. Installed new heater with pan. Checked for any leaks and turned power on. Heating as should.... read more


Bathroom Remodeling Plumbing Service on September 22, 2023 in Atlantic Beach, FL (32233)

Plumber Notes: Customer removed pre-existing vanity. Customer is going to install a floating vanity, so the pre-existing water line, and waste arm needed to move up about 6-10in. I’m ordered to center with the new floating vanity. So I cut 2ftx3ft of wall dry, to create an opening so that I can move the pipes up higher. I turn off the water to the house, so that I can move the water line. I cut out the pre-existing waste, and the cpvc water line for hot and cold. I install new waste arm 1 1/2in pvc 6in higher that the pre—existing waste arm. I install new water line for hot and cold side. 6in higher the the pre-existing water lines. I install new angle stop for both hot and cold water line. Once the installation was completed. I turn the water back on to check for leaks, and was no leaks.... read more
